Role Overview
Loan Factory is seeking a Senior Technical Accountant to directly own day-to-day accounting operations, financial statement preparation, and multi-entity consolidation across U.S. operations and international branches. This is a highly hands-on role for someone who enjoys working deep in the numbers while helping build a scalable and disciplined accounting function.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Execute multi-entity and international branch consolidations
- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Prepare detailed balance sheet and P&L flux analyses
- Manage and reconcile large, complex datasets related to commissions, payroll, loans, and cash activity
- Record commission expenses, payroll entries, and other complex accounting transactions
- Maintain intercompany and branch-level accounting records
- Perform bank, credit card, AR/AP, and clearing account reconciliations
- Support audits, tax filings, lender requirements, and regulatory reporting with detailed schedules
- Identify and resolve reconciliation issues, data gaps, and process breakdowns
- Assist with accounting process improvements as the company scales
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience
- Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred but not required
- CPA certification a plus but not required
- Strong experience preparing financial statements and owning the close process
- Experience with multi-entity or international operations preferred
- Strong ability to work with large, high-volume datasets
- Advanced Excel skills required
- QuickBooks Online experience required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $70,000–$90,000 per year
